OnePlus unveils groundbreaking gaming tech. Could this be the end of lag forever?
OnePlus has launched One Plus Gaming technology, a deeply integrated hardware-software architecture designed to deliver elite mobile gaming experiences.

This new platform has been launched with the upcoming OnePlus 15 series devices, marking a major leap in how Android smartphones handle high-performance gaming.
Highlights of the new launch
- Chip-level optimisation: At the core of OnePlus Gaming Technology is the 'OP Gaming Core', which is a proprietary game-centric scheduling and resource-management engine built from more than 20,000 lines of original code and supported by over 250 patents.
- Performance Tri-Chip architecture: The hardware platform includes three dedicated physical chips to separately manage performance, touch-response, and connectivity for gaming: A high-end performance SoC; a dedicated 'Touch Response Chip' enabling up to 330 Hz sampling and instantaneous input responsiveness and a 'Wi-Fi Chip G2' with advanced RF modules and 'SmartLink' algorithms to reduce lag in weak-signal or congested network conditions.
- Next-Gen HyperRendering: The architecture re-works the GPU pipeline at the driver level to reduce latency, improve per-frame rendering efficiency by up to 80 percent, and support ultra-high frame-rates with efficient power-consumption.
- High-Frame-Rate Ecosystem: With support for up to 120 fps (and optionally 165 fps on compatible titles and displays), OnePlus Gaming Technology enables smoother motion, fewer frame-drops, and consistent performance during extended gameplay.
- Optimised Thermal & Power Management: By reducing CPU instructions by 20-23 percent for key game tasks, the system lowers power-draw and keeps thermal output under control — helping maintain high refresh-rates without runaway heat or battery drain.
The OnePlus Gaming Technology platform will make its debut on the OnePlus 15 series, which is scheduled for launch globally and in India on November 13, 2025 with the hardware and software fully integrated.
