Rukmini Maitra dazzles as showstopper at a hair fashion show in Kolkata
Kolkata/IBNS: Godrej Professional unveiled its latest Surreal Hair Colour Collection along with a hair fashion show presenting Bengali film star Rukmini Maitra as the showstopper on Thursday.
The launch event incorporated 200 stylists from across Kolkata and West Bengal in a one-day-long training session to upskill them, along with a spectacular hair fashion show that showcased Godrej's new Surreal Collection.

Walking the ramp for the Godrej Professional hair fashion show, Rukmini Maitra said, “For me, hair is a powerful form of self-expression. It reflects my mood, my journey, and sometimes even my boldest choices."
"The Surreal Collection brings that emotion alive with its stunning colours inspired by nature," the actress added.
Abhinav Grandhi, Business Head, Godrej Professional, said, “For decades, Godrej has been a trailblazer in India's hair colour market, establishing itself as a dominant force in the retail sector and revolutionising the industry.
"2025 marks a bold new chapter, as Godrej Professional takes its training and skilling initiative to a national level, with plans to engage 3,000+ salons in 11 cities," he added.

Along with the Surreal Collection, Strait Smooth released a modern straightening technique available across leading salons in Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal.
