Samsung drops Galaxy F70e 5G with 6000mAh battery and 120Hz display — Gen Z’s new favourite?
South Korean technology giant Samsung on Monday announced the launch of the Galaxy F70e 5G, the first smartphone in its all-new Galaxy F70 series, aimed at delivering an enhanced camera experience, a smooth display and a premium leather-finish design to value-conscious consumers.
“The all-new Galaxy F70e 5G is a testament to Samsung’s unwavering commitment to empowering our value-conscious young consumers with meaningful innovations. With its best-in-segment camera setup for sharper portraits, 120Hz refresh rate display and premium leather-pattern finish, the Galaxy F70e 5G is designed to power the limitless ambitions of Gen Z consumers. We are excited to bring this device to Indian consumers and further strengthen Samsung’s position as a trusted smartphone brand,” said Akshay S. Rao, Director, MX Business, Samsung India.
The Galaxy F70e 5G features a versatile camera system designed for social media-ready content. It houses a high-resolution 50MP primary camera capable of capturing landscapes, street scenes and candid moments with rich detail and vibrant colours.
The f/1.8 aperture, paired with a secondary depth camera, enables natural bokeh effects by keeping subjects sharply in focus while softly blurring the background, ensuring clearer portraits in various lighting conditions. The device’s Night Mode enhances low-light photography, delivering brighter and more detailed images. It also maintains balanced exposure in bright environments, minimising light flare while preserving detail. An 8MP front camera supports clear selfies and video calls.
Ultra-Smooth Display
The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth scrolling and responsive performance across apps, websites and games. High Brightness Mode (HBM) ensures clear visibility even under direct sunlight, delivering an immersive viewing experience for entertainment and gaming.
Sleek and Durable Design
The Galaxy F70e 5G features a premium leather-pattern finish on the back panel, blending modern aesthetics with practicality. Measuring just 8.2mm in thickness, the device is designed for a comfortable grip during extended use.
With an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance, the smartphone offers protection against accidental splashes and exposure to dust, making it suitable for everyday commutes and outdoor usage. It is available in two colour options — Limelight Green and Spotlight Blue.
Power That Lasts
The device is powered by a 6,000mAh battery — 20 percent larger than its predecessor — offering up to two days of usage on a single charge, according to the company. It supports 25W fast charging for quicker top-ups during short breaks.
Under the hood, the Galaxy F70e 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, delivering an AnTuTu score of over 623,000. With CPU speeds of up to 2.4GHz, the chipset promises improved multitasking and up to 10 percent faster gaming performance compared to the previous generation SoC. The smartphone also supports multiple 5G bands to ensure seamless connectivity across regions.
Built for Long-Term Reliability
The Galaxy F70e 5G runs on Samsung’s latest One UI 8 and comes with six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
It also features Samsung Knox Vault, certified at Evaluation Assurance Level 5+ (EAL5+), offering enhanced protection for sensitive financial and personal data against malware and hardware-level attacks. The device is backed by Samsung’s nationwide service network of over 3,300 centres.
Availability
Positioned as a value-for-money offering, the Galaxy F70e 5G will be available via Samsung.com, Flipkart and select retail stores. Sales begin February 17.
