Ahead of Jaishankar's US visit, foreign secretary Vikram Misri meets top US diplomats
New Delhi/Washington D.C./IBNS: India's foreign secretary Vikram Misri on Monday met top US diplomats ahead of external affairs minister S Jaishankar's visit to Washington this week, media reports said.

Misri held meetings with US deputy secretary of state Kurt Campbell and deputy secretary for management Richard Verma, a report by The Indian Express said.
Vinay Mohan Kwatra, India's ambassador to the US, was also in attendance, the daily reported.
Jaishankar will be on a US trip from December 24 to 29.
"External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar will visit the United States of America from 24-29 December, 2024.
"He will be meeting counterparts to discuss key bilateral, regional and global issues. During the visit, EAM will also chair a conference of the Consul Generals of India in the USA," the ministry of external affairs said in a statement.
This will be Jaishankar's first visit to the US after Donald Trump won the November 5 presidential elections.
The external affairs minister will be holding a top level bilateral meeting amid the transition of power from the Biden administration to the new government which will be led by Trump, who is now President-elect.
