Arvind Kejriwal issues another order for Delhi govt from ED's custody
New Delhi/UNI: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal has issued a second order for its government’s health department to be in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), AAP Leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference here, Delhi Health Minister Bhardwaj said, "CM Arvind Kejriwal is worried about the healthcare of the state even while being under ED’s custody.
"The CM issued a direction to me stating that he received information about the unavailability of medicines at some Mohalla clinics and that people are facing difficulties in the tests carried out at the clinics."
"CM directed me to take steps to resolve this issue and ensure that people receive all the medicines and tests at all Mohalla clinics free of charge" Bhardwaj said.
"I want to tell the people of Delhi that even if your CM is in jail, he is only thinking about you," the AAP leader added.
The ED arrested Kejriwal on Thursday night in a money laundering case linked to Delhi's now-scrapped liquor policy. He has been remanded in the central agency's custody for a week.
The AAP supremo has denied the allegations against him and accused the BJP-led central government of using probe agencies for political goals.
The Delhi High Court will take up Arvind Kejriwal's request on Wednesday in which he has challenged his arrest as well as a lower court's order granting the ED his custody for seven days.
