Chhattisgarh: 10 Maoists killed during encounter with security forces in Sukma
At least 10 Maoists were killed during an encounter with security forces in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Friday, media reports said.
According to reports, security forces recovered several weapons, including three automatic rifles, from the site.
Sources told UNI that during a joint anti-maoist operation by the Central Reserve Police Force and DRG, a contact was established between security forces and a group of Naxals.
Bastar Inspector General P Sundarraj confirmed to the UNI about the encounter with the Maoists.
He said firing was going on between the two sides.
