Chhattisgarh: Naxal carrying reward surrenders in Kanker
Kanker: A Naxal leader, who was carrying a reward on his head, has surrendered in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, police said on Tuesday.
The Naxal leader was identified as Mahasamund PPCM's Naxalite commander Chandan Darro.
He had a reward of five lakhs and surrendered before Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel.
According to Patel, Chandan Darro, also known as Jeevan and Sagar, was a commander in the Naxalite organization since 2008.
He has surrendered due to the positive impact of the Chhattisgarh government's rehabilitation policy.
As a commander, a reward of five lakh rupees was offered for his capture.
