Class 12 student shoots principal in Madhya Pradesh school toilet
Bhopal/IBNS: The principal of a school in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur was shot dead by a Class 12 student, media reports said.
Dhamora Government Higher Secondary School Principal Surendra Kumar Saxena, 55, was found dead in the bathroom.
He had been the principal of the school for almost five years.
According to reports, the student followed him into the bathroom and shot him in the head.
The gunshot sent the school into a panic and staff rushed to the principal's office where they found him lying in a pool of blood.
The accused, a Class 12 student, fled the scene on Saxena's two-wheeler. Another student fled with him, according to Superintendent of Police Agam Jain.
The students, both of whom have a history of indiscipline, are residents of Dhilapur village and were seen escaping on CCTV footage.
Saxena's family believes the murder was a premeditated one.
His brother, Rajendra Saxena, said, "Some individuals at the school were pressuring him unnecessarily and harassing him to carry out wrongful acts. This murder appears to be part of a planned conspiracy."
