Congress leader files complaint against Allu Arjun for 'insulting police' in Pushpa 2: The Rule
Hyderabad/IBNS: In fresh trouble for Allu Arjun, Congress leader Theenmar Mallanna has filed a complaint against the Telugu superstar accusing him of insulting police in the latest blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule, media reports said.
Apart from Allu Arjun, the complaint has been filed against Pushpa 2 director Sukumar and producers.
The complaint was filed on the basis of a scene where the actor urinates in a swimming pool when a cop was in it.
Thenmar has called the scene "disrespectful".
Meanwhile, the actor has been summoned by the Hyderabad Police for questioning on Tuesday in connection with a stampede which took place during the premiere show of Pushpa 2 at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre on December 4.
The stampede led to the death of one woman and her son is still in coma.
The superstar was arrested in connection with the stampede but was later released on bail.
The husband of the woman who died in the stampede at the premiere said he does not blame Allu Arjun for the tragedy and is ready to withdraw the police case filed in the matter.
Bhaskar, whose son is still in a coma and was admitted to hospital, said the actor has been fully supporting his son's treatment.
His son, Shri Tej, is a fan of Allu Arjun and it was on his insistence that the family went to the premiere, Bhskar told NDTV in an exclusive interview on Monday.
The eight-year-old has been in a coma for the last 20 days. He opens his eyes sometimes but does not yet recognise anyone. "We do not know how long the treatment will take," he told NDTV.
Allu Arjun had grieved the woman's death and announced a monetary support of Rs. 25 lakh for the family.
Meanwhile, tensions mounted on Sunday evening after a group of people, who claimed themselves to be students of Osmania University, barged into the house of southern star Allu Arjun in Hyderabad and damaged it.
They reportedly entered the house of the actor during the protest and demanded one crore as compensation to the family of the woman.
According to reports, Allu Arjun was not present in the residence when the attackers entered it.
