'Contact us if looking for ex-MP': Smriti Irani's dig at Rahul Gandhi over Congress 'missing' tweet
New Delhi/IBNS: Union minister Smriti Irani Wednesday responded sharply to a Congress tweet that declared her as "missing".
Slamming Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as a "divine political creature," she said she was in Amethi, and anyone looking for the former MP of the area, could "contact us".
"O divine political creature, I have just left Sirsira village, Vidhan Sabha Salon, Lok Sabha Amethi towards Dhuranpur. If looking for a former MP please contact us," read a rough translation of the Hindi tweet from Irani, who defeated the former Congress MP in the Gandhi family stronghold in 2019.
https://t.co/2rEUKLPCK8

Gandhi, who had lost in Amethi, won Kerala's Wayanad seat but lost the constituency earlier this year after being sentenced to two years in jail in a defamation case.
He is currently on a six-day visit to the US, and his sharp criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi there has upset the BJP camp.
Stepping up its attack on PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi has said there is a group of people who think they know more than "God', and the PM is one such "specimen".
"We have a group of people in India who are absolutely convinced that they know everything. They think, maybe, they know more than God. Our Prime Minister is one such specimen," he said while addressing a gathering of the Indian diaspora in San Francisco in the United States, on Tuesday.
Attacking the PM, Gandhi further said, "I think if you sat Modi ji down next to God, Modi ji will start explaining to God, how the 'universe' works. These all are ...But, this is what is going on."
"We have a group of people who think they understand everything. They can speak to scientists and explain science to them, they can speak to historians and explain history. They can explain 'warfare' to the Army. At the heart of it, is the 'mediocrity'. They actually don't understand anything," he added.
