At least 15 people died and 30 others were injured after a man drove a pickup truck on people intentionally in New Orleans city of the US during New Year celebration on Wednesday.
The incident occurred just days after a Saudi man rammed a car into a crowd at a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg which left five people dead.
According to some sections of the media reports, the driver of the vehicle also fired at the crowd.
The FBI is investigating the incident as an act of terrorism since it does not believe the driver acted alone.
An Islamic State group flag was found on the vehicle's trailer hitch, it said.
