Ex-girlfriend of Noida law student who committed suicide arrested
Noida/IBNS: The ex-girlfriend of a 23-year-old law student, who fell to death from the seventh floor of an apartment in Noida last week, was arrested in abetment to suicide charge, media reports said.
She has been granted bail.
Tapas, who was a student at Amity University, committed suicide after his girlfriend broke up with him and refused to patch up.
The law student, who used to live in Ghaziabad, visited his friend's place in Noida last Saturday.
His friends had called her to the Noida apartment to convince Tapas' ex-girlfriend to patch up.
She had visited the place but refused to resume the relationship prompting Tapas to get upset and commit suicide.
Tapas and his girlfriend, who were also classmates, had started living together. They fell out and the woman called it an end to the relationship.
Tapas' family had filed a case against the woman accusing her of harassing him.
