Handshake and brief conversation

Videos and photographs from the summit showed Modi and Trump greeting each other with a handshake before engaging in a short conversation.

The interaction drew attention as the two leaders are set to hold formal talks on the sidelines of the summit, amid evolving geopolitical and economic challenges.

First in-person meeting since February

The upcoming bilateral meeting will provide an opportunity for both leaders to review the progress in India-US ties and discuss regional and global developments.
