Horror on Telangana highway! At least 19 dead as truck rams into bus
Hyderabad/IBNS: At least 19 people died and several others were injured when a truck rammed into an RTC bus at Mirjaguda near Chevella in the Rangareddy district of Telangana on Monday, media reports said.
The accident occurred in the early morning.
The truck, which was full of gravel, was in the right lane when it rammed into the bus carrying 40 passengers.

The load of gravel fell on the passengers upon the collision.
According to police, the bus was heading from Tandur to Chevella.
"We have to verify whether the accident occurred while the truck driver was attempting to overtake or if he was driving in the wrong direction," Rajendranagar DCP Yogesh Goutam said as quoted by The Times of India.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy posted on X, "The horrific road accident that occurred in Chevella Mandal of Ranga Reddy District has caused profound shock. The visuals of the accident have been heart-wrenching.
"I express my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. The government will support their families in every possible way and stand by them. We are taking war-footing measures to provide better medical assistance to the injured. I have spoken with the State Chief Secretary and the State DGP on this matter. I have instructed that the injured be shifted to Hyderabad for better medical treatment."

Reddy has directed the Collector, local MLAs and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar to visit the spot and oversee the relief operation.
The CM has directed officials to reach the spot immediately and undertake necessary relief measures.
The CM has ordered that complete details related to the accident be informed from time to time.
