Independence Day: Dubai's Burj Khalifa illuminated in colours of Indian flag
Dubai's iconic Burj Khalifa building on Tuesday joined Indians in celebrating the country's 77th Independence Day by illuminating the structure with colours of the Indian flag.

The skyscraper is known to display the national flags of friendly countries to mark nation day or Independence Day.

In the video that has gone viral on social media, the tallest building in the world could be seen displaying the Indian national flag with the national anthem 'Jana Gana Mana' being played in the background.
As the video proceeded further, one could see the building also displaying the image of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
The text message read: "Happy 77th Independence Day to Mother India. Long live India and UAE friendship. Har Ghar Tiranga. Jai Hind.”

Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum wished India on Independence Day and wrote on X: "As India celebrates its 77th Independence Day, I extend my congratulations to the leadership and the people of this great nation. On this joyous occasion, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to building a future of shared prosperity and growth, elevating our partnership to new heights, and exploring new horizons of political, economic, and cultural relations. Happy Independence Day, Swatantrata Diwas!"
