'India united against terror, help us put Pak in FATF grey list': Owaisi tells Bahrain during all party global outreach post Op Sindoor
Manama: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MP Asaduddin Owaisi, who is part of the multi-party delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, described Pakistan as a "failed state" during a discussion with influential personalities in Bahrain, news agency ANI reported..
During the interaction, Owaisi remarked, "Our government has sent us over here...so that the world knows the threat India has been facing since last so many years. Unfortunately, we have lost so many innocent lives. This problem emanates from Pakistan only. Unless and until Pakistan stops promoting, aiding and sponsoring these terrorist groups, this problem won't go away."
He added that the Indian government had taken every possible measure to ensure citizens' safety and had issued a clear warning to Pakistan.
"This government has made very clear next time you (Pakistan) take up this misadventure, it will be beyond what they are expecting..." he said.

Owaisi also underlined that India had shown considerable restraint despite repeated provocations and pointed to the human toll of terrorism by recalling the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 tourists were killed.
"Please reflect on the human tragedy of this massacre. A woman married six days ago became a widow on the seventh day. Another woman, married just two months ago, also lost her husband in this attack," he said.
Emphasising India's defensive capabilities, Owaisi said, "India has all the wherewithal, and we have every means necessary to ensure the safety of not only Indian citizens, but also every individual residing in India."
He further noted that India’s air defence systems had efficiently intercepted threats originating from Pakistan.
"The government and the media, our air defence system, our technology and warfare capabilities, successfully intercepted and neutralised everything that was launched by a failed state like Pakistan," he stated.
Calling for greater global cooperation to tackle terror funding, Mr Owaisi appealed to the Bahraini government to support India's push to place Pakistan back on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list.
"There is unanimity in our country, irrespective of whatever political affiliations we belong to. We have our political differences, but when it comes to the integrity of our country, it is high time our neighbouring country understands...I request and hope that the Bahrain government will help us in bringing Pakistan back to the grey list of FATF because this money has been used to support those terrorists," he said.
The delegation, headed by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, includes MPs Nishikant Dubey (BJP), Phangnon Konyak (BJP), Rekha Sharma (NJP), Satnam Singh Sandhu, AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and Ambassador Harsh Shringla.
The visit is part of a broader initiative to brief international stakeholders on India’s stance following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and to emphasise New Delhi’s zero-tolerance approach towards cross-border terrorism.
The delegation is engaging with leadership across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Algeria to counter global misinformation and reinforce India's security position.
