Indian all-party delegation, Priti Patel discuss shared determination to combat terrorism
Conservative Party's Shadow Foreign Secretary Priti Patel on Monday expressed her pleasure after meeting an all-party delegation from India, which visited the UK, and they shared the determination to combat terrorism.

In an X post, Patel said: "A pleasure to meet with a cross-party delegation of senior Indian MPs @HCI_London. Significant areas of discussion covered our shared determination to combatting terrorism, to UK-India defence and security links, our economic ties and the living bridge between our two countries."
India formed seven delegation teams as part of the diplomatic outreach following the Operation Sindoor conducted by the Indian Armed Forces on terror hubs located in PoK and Pakistan to inform nations about Pakistan's links to terrorism and India's strong message of zero tolerance for terrorism.
Earlier, the Indian High Commission in England shared an image of the meeting and wrote on X: "The All-Party Parliamentary Delegation met with Shadow Foreign Secretary @pritipatel and her team to share India’s firm resolve in combating cross-border terrorism. They also highlighted how #OperationSindoor exemplifies the new normal set by India in this ongoing effort."

The Indian All-Party Parliamentary Delegation met with UK government ministers, parliamentarians, party leaders, think tanks, and India friendship groups in London when they discussed strengthening India-UK collaboration against cross-border terrorism.
"The delegation received wide-ranging support, reaffirming shared commitments to global security, justice, and strategic partnership," read the statement issued by the MEA.
"The day began with an interaction with UK-based think tanks, discussing the threat of cross-border terrorism and how Operation Sindoor sets a new strategic benchmark in India's fight against it," it said.
The delegation met Catherine West MP, Minister for the Indo-Pacific at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
She reaffirmed the UK's condemnation of terror attacks in India, its strong bilateral ties with India, and support for global efforts to bring perpetrators of terror to justice.
At Conservative Campaign Headquarters, the delegation engaged with Lord Dominic Johnson of Lainston CBE, Co-Chair of the Conservative Party, and Koolesh Shah, Co-Chair of the Conservative Friends of India.
They voiced strong support for India's fight against terrorism, acknowledged its global implications, and lauded the Indian diaspora's contribution to the UK.
The delegation also met with Labour Party India Friendship Groups-including Labour Friends of India, Labour Convention of Indian Organisations, Sikhs for Labour, and Hindus for Labour.
The groups expressed unified support for India's anti-terrorism efforts, emphasising the need to dismantle terror infrastructure and curb terror financing.
A separate meeting with Seema Malhotra MP, UK Minister for Migration and Citizenship and Minister for Equalities, allowed the delegation to brief her on Operation Sindoor.
"The day concluded with a dinner interaction with the thought leaders of the UK discussing the scourge of terrorism, its social impact and the connected rise of radicalisation," the statement said.
