Karnataka: Man files sex assault case against Prajwal Revanna's brother Suraj Revanna
Bengaluru: A case has been registered against Janata Dal (Secular) MLC Suraj Revanna, brother of former MP Prajwal Revanna who faces sex crime charges, for an alleged sexual assault, media reported.
On Saturday, a man lodged the complaint at Holenarasipura police station in Hassan district, claiming that Suraj sexually assaulted him at his farmhouse on June 16, reported India Today.
The complainant stated that Suraj Revanna had invited him to the farmhouse, where he forcibly kissed him and bit his lips and cheeks, according to the report.
He claimed that Suraj further threatened to kill him if he didn't cooperate. The man also alleged that Suraj then sexually assaulted him and promised to help him advance politically in the district.
"Suraj told me you’re alone in this farmhouse. You don’t know about me and our family. He threatened to kill me if I don’t cooperate," the man said in the complaint, stated the India Today report.
In his complaint, he mentioned that he had texted Suraj about the incident later, and Suraj had replied, "Don’t worry, everything will be fine."
Earlier on Saturday, Suraj Revanna and his acquaintance Shivakumar had filed a complaint, alleging that they were being blackmailed by two individuals over a "false sexual assault allegation," the report added.
