Kashmir: BSF recovered IED, averted a major tragedy in Handwara
Srinagar/UNI: Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday averted a major tragedy recovering an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Jammu Kashmir’s Handwara village, officials said.
They said a Road Opening Party (ROP) of BSF detected an IED early in the morning in the general area of Bhatpura village near a culvert on Handwara-Naogaon highway.
"Had the IED not been recovered it would have caused a major tragedy," they added.
