Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan warns BJP after INDIA bloc rally
Kozhikode/UNI: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said the INDIA bloc rally held on Sunday in New Delhi is a strong warning to the BJP-led NDA government, and it is said to be considered very important in the political field of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, PInarayi Vijayan said, "The NDA government is implementing anti-people policies and adopting nationwide hunting for opposition party leaders under the leadership of the BJP, and he also warned that the Congress party also needs to learn a lesson from this.
"The Congress party had filed a complaint against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government led by Aravind Kejrival over the excise policy and its lead to end the arrest of Chief Minister Aravind Kejrival. The stand taken by the Congress party was said to be a stand with the BJP-led NDA government."
Pinarayi Vijayan also criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for contesting against CPI national leader Annie Raja from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency.
In Kerala, the Communist Party led by the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) are fighting each other, but at the national level, both are in the India bloc,so the candidature of Rahul Gandhi is considered against the vision of the India bloc. LDF candidate Annie Raja faced sedation charges for visiting Manipur.
He alleged that Rahul Gandhi never raised a word against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
He also said, "Rahul Gandhi cannot say that he is contesting against BJP State President K Suredran, who is contesting for the NDA from Wayanad constituency."
In response to a question about the recent acquittal of three RSS workers in the Riyaz Maulavi murder case in Kasaragod by a local court due to a lack of evidence, Pinarayi Vijayan said the practice of killing people as part of religious hatred should be stopped at any cost in Kerala.
He said, "The LDF government is committed to ensuring the killers are punished as they deserve in this sensational Riyaz Maulavi Kodagu murder and will seek all the possibilities of the law for that."
He also said the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the prosecution maintained transparency and absolute honesty in the investigation and trial, and no one complained at any point.
