Kolkata: MULE Robotic Dog 'Sanjay' stuns Republic Day parade
The Republic Day celebration in Kolkata had a unique participant in the form of Indian Army's robotic dogs 'MULE' (Multi Utility Legged Equipment) which stole the show on Sunday.

These robotic dogs are named 'Sanjay'.

According to reports, MULE is an all-weather ground robot dog.

These robots can climb stairs, steep hills, and cross hurdles.
According to the Indian Army, it is designed for several operations, including perimeter security, asset protection, and chemical-biological-nuclear warfare scenarios, NDTV reported.
The dogs are capable of carrying a payload of 15 kgs.
They can be operated in extreme weather conditions ranging in temperature from -40 degrees to 55 degrees Celsius.
The Indian Army has so far inducted 100 robotic dogs in various units, officials told NDTV.
The tricolour was unfurled in the state's Republic Day event on Red Road by Governor CV Ananda Bose.
Sharing a highlight video of the event, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee wrote on X, " Today, I joined the grand Republic Day parade at Red Road to celebrate 76 years of our Constitution – a living testament to the vision of an India rooted in SOVEREIGNTY, SECULARISM, DEMOCRACY, and FEDERALISM. This day is not just a commemoration; it is a call to renew our commitment to these guiding principles."
"We bow in gratitude to the brave souls who fought for our freedom and pay homage to Babasaheb Ambedkar and the visionaries who gifted us the Constitution. Their wisdom continues to guide our nation. Let us pledge to uphold the ideals of UNITY, HARMONY, and INCLUSIVITY that define us as a people," she said.
