Maharashtra CM Shinde extends greetings to people on Akshay Tritiya and Eid
Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Saturday extended greetings on the occasion of 'Akshay Tritiya' which is one of the three and a half Muhurtas and the festival of 'Eid-ul-Fitr'.
Shinde in his greeting message to people of state stated that, in Hindu culture, Akshaya Tritiya is a festival that signifies the importance of charity. Things started on this day continue inexhaustibly, unceasingly. It is a festival of positive energy.
The month of Ramadan is considered sacred for Muslims. 'Eid-ul-Fitr' which follows the month of fasting evokes a sense of gratitude for patience, sacrifice and dedication.
On the occasion of these two festivals, happiness and prosperity should come into the lives of the citizens of the state. New schemes and projects in various fields should be fulfilled.
He wished that the path of development of the state should be paved.
