'Our drones became the eyes in the skies': Gautam Adani lauds Adani Defence's role in Operation Sindoor
Mumbai/IBNS: Indian billionaire businessman Gautam Adani has lauded Adani Defence's role in Operation Sindoor, a military action carried out by the Indian Armed Force to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

Addressing the 33rd annual general meeting of Adani Group shareholders, the Adani Group chairman said Adani Defence delivered when it was needed during Operation Sindoor.
"When it comes to Adani Defence, Operation Sindoor called, and we delivered. Our drones became the eyes in the skies as well as the swords of attack and our anti-drone systems helped protect our forces and citizens. As I have always believed, we don't operate in safe zones. We operate where it matters, where India needs us the most," said Adani.

Adani said, "Operation Sindoor showed that India knows the value of peace, but if someone shows us an eye, we know how to respond to them in their language."

Operation Sindoor was a fierce military operation launched by the Indian Air Force (IAF) on May 7, in response to the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 tourists who were enjoying their vacation at Baisaran Valley, which is referred to as India's Switzerland.
The operation aimed to dismantle terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
After the Pakistan Army again targeted Indian civilians and resorted to cross-border firing, the Indian Armed Forces retaliated, destroying defence systems of the hostile neighbour.
On Pakistan's appeal, India responded with a ceasefire on May 10 but Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned of fresh retaliation if Islamabad goes astray.
