New Delhi/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhutan on Friday on a two-day state visit, where he will hold talks with Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay.

Prime Minister Modi was received by his Bhutani counterpart, Tshering Tobgay, at Paro airport and accorded a ceremonial welcome.

His visit was part of "Neighbourhood First Policy," with the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between India and Bhutan and the government’s emphasis on its Neighbourhood First Policy, said the Ministry of External Affairs.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will receive an audience with Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan, and Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the fourth King of Bhutan.
