PM Modi to inaugurate and launch projects worth Rs 83,300 cr in Jharkhand on Wednesday
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Hazaribag in Jharkhand, for a one-day trip where he will lay the foundation stone, launch, and inaugurate several projects totaling more than Rs 83,300 crore.
This is Modi's second visit to the election-bound state within a month, following his recent trip on September 15, during which he launched six Vande Bharat trains from Jamshedpur.
During the visit, PM Modi will address the BJP’s Parivartan Yatra's concluding function and launch the 'Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan'--a scheme with a financial outlay exceeding Rs 79,150 crore.
This initiative will cover approximately 63,000 villages and benefit over 5 crore tribal people across 30 states and UTs.
The scheme aims to bridge gaps in social infrastructure, healthcare, education, and livelihood through 25 key interventions led by 17 Union ministries.
PM Modi will inaugurate 40 Eklavya Model Residential schools and lay the foundation stones for 25 more with an investment of Rs 2,800 crore.
He will also initiate various projects under the PM-JANMAN scheme, including road construction, anganwadi centres, multipurpose centres, and school hostels, with a total cost of Rs 1,360 crore.
Meanwhile, in Nashik, Maharashtra, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, will lay the foundation for several development projects.
These include student hostels and a women's hospital, with specific hostels for the Maratha and Dhangar communities.
Earlier, PM Modi inaugurated projects worth Rs 11,200 crore in Maharashtra, including the completion of the Pune Metro and the Swargate-Katraj extension.
He will also launch additional projects totaling Rs 22,600 crore, including Pune Metro Phase-1, PARAM Rudra Supercomputers, and initiatives related to energy infrastructure and truck driver amenities.
