Rahul Gandhi linked to Hindenburg, reveals Israel's intel agency Mossad: Report

New Delhi: Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, Mossad, reportedly carried out a clandestine cyberattack on the home servers of Sam Pitroda, chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress and a close political advisor to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
According to a report by Sputnik India, which cites unnamed sources, the operation aimed to uncover potential links between India’s opposition leadership and Hindenburg Research, whose report last year caused a major financial storm for the Adani Group.

The report claims Mossad was searching for digital evidence that could substantiate a political strategy to discredit both Gautam Adani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Citing its sources, Sputnik India said that the agency’s infiltration allegedly uncovered encrypted chatrooms and undisclosed communication channels involving Pitroda’s US-based servers.
Sputnik’s sources further claimed that Mossad’s findings included indications of a connection between Rahul Gandhi and individuals associated with Hindenburg Research.
These links, according to the report, were part of a wider campaign intended to undermine Modi and Adani ahead of elections.
No further technical details about the operation or the data obtained were disclosed in the report.
No official response from Israel, Congress, or Pitroda
The claims made in the report remain unverified. Neither Mossad nor the Israeli government have responded publicly to the allegations.
Similarly, there has been no comment from Sam Pitroda, Rahul Gandhi, or the Congress party.
The absence of independent confirmation adds to the uncertainty surrounding the claims, which have stirred political interest but not yet provoked formal responses.
Hindenburg’s explosive claims against Adani Group
In January 2023, Hindenburg Research published a report accusing the Adani Group of manipulating stock prices and engaging in accounting fraud.
It alleged the use of offshore shell firms to create artificial turnover, misappropriate funds, and inflate stock prices through wash trading.
The report also raised red flags over the conglomerate’s debt levels and financial health, stating that Adani’s listed companies were significantly overvalued.
The Adani Group has strongly rejected all accusations, branding the report as baseless and malicious.
