Saif Ali Khan stabbing incident: Actor who received six wounds is out of danger, one accused identified
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed six times by an intruder at his home in Mumbai's posh Bandra area while he tried to resist a reported burglary attempt on Wednesday night, is now out of danger, doctors at Lilavati Hospital said.

"He is completely stable now. He is recovering well and out of danger," doctors said.
Saif, 54, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital at 3:30 am, an hour after the incident occurred.
Saif's son from his previous marriage, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and a caretaker reportedly took the bleeding actor to hospital.
A video emerged where Kareena, who was on a night out, was standing in casual clothes on the ground floor along with some others with an auto rickshaw waiting.
The Mumbai Police said one accused has been identified.
"The accused took the staircase with an intent to rob Saif's home," said Dikshit Gedam, DCM, Zone 8, Mumbai Police.
Ten teams of Mumbai Police, who have recorded the actor's statement and also quizzed all househelps, are probing into the incident.
The actor had received injuries in neck, hand and close to the spinal cord.
The 54-year-old underwent surgery to treat the wound near the spinal cord and plastic surgeries for neck and hand injuries.
It is said that Saif was stabbed when he was having a fight with the suspect who sneaked into his home where the actor's family members, house help were also present.
Soon after the news broke, Saif said in an official statement, "There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan's residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation."
The attack on Saif, the son of late cricket great Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and acting icon Sharmila Tagore, has raised doubts over the security in Mumbai where heavyweight politician Baba Siddique was killed last year and several attempts to attack Bollywood superstar Salman Khan were made in the recent past.
Questions are raised as to how the burglar could reach to the floor where Saif resides with his family.

"This is after a series of incidents that show there is a deliberate attempt to undermine Mumbai by targeting big names:- Baba Siddique ji’s family is still awaiting justice after his shocking murder. - Salman Khan forced to live in a bullet proof house. - Now it is Saif Ali Khan All in Bandra."
"An area which has the highest concentration of celebrities, which is supposed to have adequate security. If celebrities are not safe then who in Mumbai is? Wishing Saif Ali Khan a speedy recovery."
