Say Trump you are a liar: Rahul Gandhi dares Modi on India-Pakistan truce claim
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi challenged Indian PM Narendra Modi to call Donald Trump a 'liar', refuting his claims that he mediated to end the conflict between India and Pakistan in May.
Addressing the Lok Sabha, Gandhi was quoted as saying by the media: "Donald Trump said 29 times that he stopped the war. If this is not true, then the PM should deny and say Trump you are liar."
Speaking on the Pahalgam attack that shocked the nation on April 22, one of the deadliest terror attacks recorded in Jammu and Kashmir in recent times, Gandhi said: "Attack in Pahalgam: a brutal, heartless attack, clearly organized and orchestrated by the Pakistani state."
"Merciless killings of young and old people in cold blood. We have together condemned Pakistan," he said.
Apart from Rahul Gandhi, senior Congress MP and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a scathing attack on the Centre while launching a debate on the Operation Sindoor in the Parliament.
अगर नरेंद्र मोदी में इंदिरा गांधी जैसी 50% भी हिम्मत है तो सदन में बोल दें कि ट्रंप सीजफायर को लेकर झूठ बोल रहे हैं।

"Doesn't the government have any agency that can tell us that such a terrible attack is going to happen in our country?" she said.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said: "Such an attack is being planned in Pakistan and we in India have no information."
"This is a huge failure of our agencies. Who will take responsibility for these agencies?" she said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday confirmed the three terrorists who were involved in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack have been eliminated in Operation Mahadev.
Shah provided the details of the operation participating in the 'Operation Sindoor' debate in the Lok Sabha.
The Operation Mahadev was carried out by the Army, CRPF personnel and Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The Home Minister said, "I would like to share the details of Operation Mahadev, which took place yesterday. Three terrorists — Suleiman Shah, a top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, along with Jibran and Hamza Afghani — were successfully eliminated. Suleiman was an ‘A’ category terrorist, deeply involved in the Pahalgam and Gagangir terror attacks.
"Our intelligence agencies have substantial evidence of his role. Both Hamza Afghani and Jibran were also classified as ‘A’ grade terrorists, posing a serious threat to national security."
Indian security forces launched the anti-terror operation in the Lidwas area near Dara in Jammu and Kashmir amid reports of suspected terrorist movement in the region.
"On May 22, we received confirmation of the presence of terrorists through sensors. Then, under the leadership of our 4 Para, the CRPF personnel and Jammu Kashmir personnel together carried out the task of surrounding the terrorists," he added.
The Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor hitting nine terrorist bases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The military conflict escalated after Pakistan targeted civilians across the borders without any provocation to be aptly countered by the Indian military.
Nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) were targeted and destroyed in 25 minutes of Operation Sindoor.
The terrorists camps were the major training hubs of Pak-based terror groups- Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen.
According to a statement by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the operation was aimed at neutralizing terror camps actively involved in planning and executing attacks against India.
