Telangana Assembly's Budget session to commence on Feb 8
Hyderabad/UNI: The Telangana Assembly's Budget session is set to begin on February 8, as announced by I & PR Minister Pongulati Srinivas Reddy and IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu during a press briefing on Sunday night.
In the briefing, the ministers disclosed that the Cabinet has given its approval to the Governor's speech. They also highlighted two significant guarantees scheduled for implementation during the assembly session.
The ministers stated that the state would conduct a caste census. The Cabinet has simultaneously decided to restore TG in place of TS, aligning with the Gazette of the Union Government. Guidelines for this transition will be formulated soon.
Indicating that "Jai Jai HO Telangana" has been designated as the state song, the ministers further mentioned plans to design a new state emblem in collaboration with stakeholders.
The Cabinet has officially notified the establishment of the Kodangal Area Development Authority.
The ministers said 65 government IT centers are earmarked for advancement into advanced technology centers. The Cabinet has approved the introduction of several new courses in these centers.
The Cabinet has given its nod for the allocation of 100 acres of land for the construction of the High Court. The Ministers said the Cabinet has authorised the formulation of guidelines for awarding remission to convicts.
