Ten-year-old girl's 48-hour hunger strike forces relocation of liquor shop in Agra
Agra/IBNS: A 10-year-old girl's 48-hour hunger strike under the sun at 40 degree celcius forced the district administration to relocate a liquor shop from Kolara Kalan village of Shamshabad block in Agra, media reports said.

Anshika Sikarwar joined the protest after her father, Bunty Sikarwar, fell ill on Thursday.
The protests had started on April 1.
Villagers said the liquor shop was located at the road crossing connecting the village to the main city.
"I wasn't aware she was planning to participate in the protest. She, however, had been discussing it with her mother. We requested her not to take part, but she refused and decided to give up food and water," said Bunty as quoted by The Times of India.
Anshika told the daily, "My parents requested me not to sit on the hunger strike, but I made my decision and went ahead with it. We have been witnessing many problems because of this liquor shop."
Anshika called off her strike after Uttar Pradesh state women's commission chairperson Babita Chauhan offered her water with a promise to relocate the shop.
