Uttar Pradesh: 10 labourers die after pickup van collides with bus
At least 10 labourers died and 27 others were injured after a pickup van collided with a bus in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr area on Sunday.
The mishap occurred on the Budaun-Meerut state highway.
"Ten people were killed and 27 injured when a pickup van travelling from Ghaziabad to Sambhal collided with a private bus. The injured have been sent to the hospital," District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh told Hindustan Times.
The injured people were rushed to hospital for treatment.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the incident and directed officials to ensure the injured receive the best medical treatment, an official told Hindustan Times.
