Uttar Pradesh: Man decides to marry his wife to her lover to avoid 'Meerut-like murder'
A UP man did not follow the path of vengeance and decided to get his wife married to her lover after coming to know about their relationship in Uttar Pradesh's Sant Kabir Nagar district.
The incident was quite opposite to an incident in the north Indian city of Meerut where a woman, Muskan Rastogi, along with her lover Sahil, are accused of killing her husband, Saurabh Rajput.
They allegedly hid his body inside a drum.
On the contrary, Babloo, who worked as a labourer in another state, decided to get his wife Radhika married to her lover.
He married Radhika in 2017, and they have two children, aged 7 and 9.
According to reports, Babloo's wife began having an affair with a young man in the region when her husband went to the other state earn his livelihood.
Babloo's parents informed him about the affair after they came to know about it.
Babloo then tried to work things out, but when he was unable to do so, he informed the villagers about his wife's affair with, India Today reported.
He first went to court and solemnised the marriage of his wife and her lover, and then took them to a temple, where they exchanged garlands and wedding vows, the Indian newspaper reported.
Babloo informed his wife that he wanted to keep their children, and she agreed to his proposal.
Babloo says he wanted to avoid a Meerut-like incident
Babloo said he did not want a repeatition of Meerit-like incident to happen in his life and wanted to live peacefully.
"I decided to arrange their marriage to avoid potential harm to myself. In recent days, we have seen that husbands have been killed by their wives," Bablu told PTI.
"After seeing what happened in Meerut, I decided to get my wife married to her lover so that we both can live peacefully," he added.
