Will talk to Election Commission: Rahul Gandhi crying foul over Congress' defeat in Haryana
New Delhi/IBNS: Congress continued to cry foul over its defeat in Haryana assembly elections with its top leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday saying the party will reach out to the Election Commission of India with the complaints it received from various constituencies.
Rahul made the comment a day after Congress' hope to deny the Bharatiya Janata Party a straight third term was dashed as the saffron party under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Saini comfortably returned to power.
The Congress MP wrote on X, "My heartfelt thanks to the people of Jammu and Kashmir - India's victory in the state is a victory of the Constitution, a victory of democratic self-respect. We are analysing the unexpected results of Haryana. We will inform the Election Commission about the complaints coming from many assembly constituencies.
"Heartfelt thanks to all the people of Haryana for their support and to our Babbar Sher workers for their tireless hard work. We will continue this fight for rights, for social and economic justice, for truth, and will keep raising your voice."
जम्मू-कश्मीर के लोगों का तहे दिल से शुक्रिया - प्रदेश में INDIA की जीत संविधान की जीत है, लोकतांत्रिक स्वाभिमान की जीत है।

Reacting to the Congress' poll debacle in Haryana, party spokesperson Jairam Ramesh had said, "The result is unexpected, surprising and we can't accept it because it's the defeat of democracy and victory of the system."
In Haryana, the BJP won 48 out of 90 seats while the Congress improved its tally from previous elections but stopped at 37 seats leaving 3 seats for Independents and 2 seats for INLD.
In the historic elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference-Congress alliance is set to form the government with 48 seats (42 of NC and 6 of Congress) while the BJP could get 29 seats.
Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's PDP won 3 seats while Independents 7.
The Jammu Kashmir Assembly polls were historic, being held for the first time since the region underwent major changes over the past five years, including the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019.
This led to the conversion of the state to a Union Territory (UT) and its division, with Ladakh becoming a separate UT without a legislature.
