Arvind Kejriwal is under the custody of the Enforcement Directorate till April 1, following his arrest in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.

Kalpana Soren paid a visit to the residence of the Delhi Chief Minister, expressing her support and solidarity with Sunita Kejriwal.

Following their interaction, Delhi minister Atishi took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to assert that the BJP should be afraid after seeing the video of these two “strong women”.

Hemant Soren, the working president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), was also arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in February on allegations related to a land scam. Recently, the special PMLA court extended his judicial custody until April 4.

Similarly, the ED remand of Arvind Kejriwal was extended until April 1 by Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court.

During his court appearance on March 28, the Delhi Chief Minister asserted that the Enforcement Directorate was trying to “crush” the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He further alleged that the federal investigative agency's sole objective was to to 'trap' him in the now-scrapped liquor policy case.

"I am not opposing the remand petition of the ED. The ED can keep me in custody for as many days as it wants. But this is a scam," the Delhi CM was quoted as saying by the media. "The ED had two objectives. One is to crush AAP, and the second is to create a smokescreen and run an extortion racket behind it through which they are collecting money," Kejriwal further said.

Even as the Enforcement Directorate termed Kejriwal "kingpin of the liquor policy scam", Kejriwal said there were no grounds for his arrest.
