The incident took place at VIP Garden in Thammathukonam, where YouTuber Vinoth Kumar lives with his wife, Madhumitha.

According to police, unidentified burglars broke open the rear door of the house during the night and entered the premises before stealing the valuables.

118 sovereigns of gold stolen

The burglars reportedly escaped with 118 sovereigns of gold, equivalent to around 944 grams, along with cash kept inside the house.

The theft came to light later, following which personnel from Rajakkamangalam Police reached the spot and launched an investigation.

CCTV footage under scanner

Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the couple's house and surrounding areas to identify the suspects and track their movements before and after the burglary.

Police are also looking into how the burglars gained access to the locality and whether their movements were captured by surveillance cameras installed nearby.

Social media posts also being examined

As part of the investigation, police are examining the couple's social media activity. Vinoth Kumar's videos have reportedly featured large quantities of gold jewellery and bundles of cash.

Investigators are looking into whether such posts may have inadvertently revealed information about the valuables kept at the house or provided clues about the couple's lifestyle and movements.

Police are now working to identify the suspects and establish how the burglary was planned and carried out.
