Assam Rifles rescues people, saved lives amidst turmoil in Jiribam

Imphal: Assam Rifles column, deployed for Internal Security duties, was returning from Boro Bekra in Jiribam district after the patrolling. While on move, a distress call was received by the troops from a couple who along with their two children were stuck at Leisabithol village.Their house was burnt by unknown miscreants a couple of days ago.
Reacting to the call, Assam Rifles swiftly evacuated the couple and children from Leisabithol village. While returning back, near Uchathol village, Assam Rifles vehicles were stopped by a group of women wanting to ascertain the details of personnel being rescued. Assam Rifles contacted Police officials. Post their arrival; situation was handled by Jiribam police.
Assam Rifles conveyed the locals to have faith in them and avoid miscommunication in future. The evacuated family was dropped safely in the Bidyanagar Sports Stadium, Jiribam wherein they were provided with relief and succor.
Assam Rifles remains steadfast in its mission to maintain peace and stability in Manipur. Their timely and decisive interventions have been crucial in safeguarding the region and ensuring the safety of its residents.
