Manipur government will stand against those vested interest groups trying to disintegrate the state, CM
The Manipur Chief Minister made the strong point during the interaction with locals of Khangabok at a public interaction programme held on Thursday at Khangabok Maisnam Leikai, UYC Ground in Thoubal district. The Manipur CM accompanied by Ministers, MLAs were accorded a warm welcome by students and the locals of Khangabok.
While interacting with the people, N Biren singh said that many people of the State had begun to know the core issue of the current unprecedented crisis and had started rendering their support and cooperation in taking the State towards peace and normalcy.
The State Government would always stand firmly to safeguard the unity and integrity of the State, he said and added that the Government had done nothing against any of the communities which had been living together since time immemorial, but would stand against those vested interest groups trying to disintegrate the State.
After hearing the grievances and demands raised during the interaction, the Manipur CM also announced to take up certain development works at Khangabok. He also announced to allocate Rs. 50 lakhs for installing water pumps for the paddy fields of the area and to develop an open gym. The Manipur CM appreciating the public's concern for conserving water bodies, also announced to include development projects to rejuvenate small lakes and wetlands in the area.
The interaction programme was also attended by representatives of local bodies, Self Help Groups, Village Volunteers, and the public of Khangabok among others.
