'... our worlds also unite with our union...': Parineeti Chopra on engagement with Raghav Chadha
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra got engaged to politician and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha last week putting to rest all speculations over their relationship.
An excerpt of a note shared by Parineeti on Instagram reads, "Raghav and I are overwhelmed with the love and abundance of positivity we have received over the past few weeks, particularly on our engagement.
"We both come from different worlds, and it's amazing to know that our worlds unite with our union. We have gained a bigger family than we could have ever imagined."
The rumour of their dating kick-started after the two were spotted at restaurants on two consecutive days in March. However back then, Raghav and Parineeti did not speak openly about their relationship and maintained that they were just ‘good friends’.
On Saturday, the duo declared on social media that they are officially engaged and shared some beautiful images of their happy moments.
Raghav, who had told the paparazzi that he would inform them when he got married, captioned his images with fiancé Parineeti, "Everything I prayed for .. She said yes! (sic)" while Parineeti also wrote, "Everything I prayed for .. I said yes! (sic)."
According to media reports, the engagement ceremony was an intimate but a grand affair and started around 5 pm in the evening.
