Alia Bhatt to make brief but pivotal appearance in Tumbbad 2: Report

Amid her busy schedule, Alia has reportedly signed on for a brief but impactful role in Tumbbad 2, the sequel to the 2018 folk horror Tumbbad.

According to a report by Mid-Day, the actor will make a special appearance that is expected to be pivotal to the storyline.

A source quoted in the report said, “The makers needed someone who brings gravitas and intrigue in a short screen time. Alia fit that space.”

Tight Shooting Schedule

Alia is expected to begin shooting for the film on May 3 before flying to the US to attend the Met Gala the following day. She is likely to resume shooting after May 6.

Reunion in Love & War

Meanwhile, Love & War marks Alia’s reunion with Bhansali, as well as with her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Raazi co-star Vicky Kaushal.

The film is slated for release on January 21, 2027.

Upcoming Release: Alpha

Alia will also be seen in Alpha, where she stars alongside Sharvari. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 10, 2026.
