Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3-Singham Again advance booking: Anees Bazmee's horror-comedy has a slight edge over Rohit Shetty's action film
Mumbai/IBNS: Anees Bazmee's horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 clashed with Rohit Shetty's action film Singham Again as the two big-budget films released on big screens on Friday.
The two films released in theatres on the occasion of Diwali.
As per reports, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 earned more than Singham Again from advance bookings.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has sold 5,54,344 tickets worth Rs. 19.22 crore while Singham Again 5,12,545 tickets worth Rs. 18.69 crore, Sacnilk reported.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the third installment of the popular horror-comedy franchise, features Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri in the lead.
The film marks Kartik's return as Rooh Baba while the actresses Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit Nene feature as Manjulika.
Triptii is seen as Kartik's love interest in the trailer, which has ample scope to experience horror elements.
Singham Again features Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor in the lead.
The trailer shows Singham Again is hugely inspired by epic Ramayana with Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff essaying roles modelled after Lord Rama and Lakshman respectively.
Ranveer, who reprises the role of Simmba, has his role inspired by Lord Hanuman while Arjun Kapoor's character is modelled after Ravan.
