Dev starrer Raghu Dakat's massy teaser unveiled on Independence Day
Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali film superstar Dev promises to roar in the box office this festive season with his upcoming release Raghu Dakat, which got its teaser launched digitally on Friday on the occasion of the country's 79th Independence Day.
The film is directed by Dhrubo Banerjee.
Also written by Dhrubo Banerjee, Raghu Dakat narrates the mythical tale of a savior who emerged during the 18th century, a period of great turmoil and unrest.
Amid an era when Bengal shook under the weight of oppression, one name rose as the very cry of “Banglar Protibad” --- Raghu Dakat.
The teaser offers audiences a glimpse into an epic collaboration between SVF Entertainment and Dev Entertainment Ventures.
With a sweeping visual canvas and a cinematic scale that commands attention, the rebellion of a bygone era blazes to life.
Dev leads the charge as a hero, forged in fire. Opposing him, Anirban Bhattacharya, who was seen in a unique look, stands as a formidable antagonist, a force as compelling as it is dangerous.
Roopa Ganguly, Sohini Sarkar, Idhika Paul, who also feature in significant roles, embody courage and defiance in its purest form.
Om Sahani crashes into the narrative like a shockwave, joined by Alexx O’Nell and others.
The film’s musical score is done by Rathijit Bhattacharjee and Nilayan Chatterjee, heightening the emotion and fueling the rebellion’s heartbeat.
Dev, who is basking in the opening success of his latest film Dhumketu, had earlier collaborated with Dhrubo Banerjee for Golondaaj.
Presented by SVF Entertainment and Dev Entertainment Ventures, Raghu Dakat releases in theatres this Durga Puja 2025.
