'Forgot last four years in four days': Shah Rukh Khan on Pathaan success
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan faced a massive setback in 2018 after his Hindi film co-starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, Zero, failed to draw the audience into the cinema halls.
The box office failure had prompted Shah Rukh to go back to the desk and rethink and eventually he stayed away from the process of acting for one or two years followed by the pandemic.
In a rare scenario, Shah Rukh's fans had to wait for four years to see the massively popular star on big screens and it happened with the Siddharth Anand directorial Pathaan, which co-stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
After the film grossed over Rs. 500 crore worldwide in five days, Shah Rukh at the age of 57 reclaimed the lost glory.
Speaking at a media interaction held in Mumbai, the superstar said, "I am never in a rush to finish a film, because I have a genuine desire to spread love among people and when that doesn't happen I am the most affected by that.
"I am grateful to Adi (Aditya Chopra), Sid and everyone for this film, it has done really well. I have forgotten the last four years because of the last 4 days."
With zero promotional tours, Pathaan, which was much hyped before its release, shattered all records to register the highest opening with Rs. 57 crore on the first day.
Shah Rukh's dream run continued in the following days creating a number of records in the film industry.
