Gobhir Joler Maach: Creator Sahana Dutta says she wanted to show how 'women are not always victims'
Kolkata/IBNS: Screenwriter-creator Sahana Dutta has tried to highlight the "truth" that "women are not always victims" in upcoming hoichoi web series Gobhir Joler Maach.
The trailer of the upcoming series starring four women actors in the lead has already been released.
Speaking on the web series, Sahana on Wednesday said, "Women are showcased as victims everywhere. Women are not always the victim rather they often play the victim cards. In many cases, men are on the receiving end. I felt like highlighting the truth in this series."
"It is not appropriate to always highlight one-sided truth. We should not forget that all kinds of women exist in our society," she added.
The series stars Ushasi Ray, Trina Saha, Swastika Dutta and Ananya Sen in the lead.
The trailer has shown how apparently four friends gear up for a plan which later turns serious.
Also jealousy and deceit lying underneath the friendship of the four women characters were also captured in the trailer.
