Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj: Chris Martin, fiance Dakota Johnson take holy dip in Sangam
Coldplay's Chris Martin and his fiance actress Dakota Johnson were recently caught on camera taking a dip in the holy waters of Tribeni (the conglomeration of the Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati) during the ongoing Maha Kumbh in the north Indian city of Prayagraj.
In the video, the singer could be seen greeting pilgrims.
An Instagram user named Bharat Chaudhary shared the seen video on Instagram.
Dakota preferred to wear ethnic attire for the holy dip. She was seen wearing a kurti and trouser.
Bharat shared the video and wrote on Instagram: "Took a Sangam Snan with none other than Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Dakota, who followed every ritual with deep respect. Music unites, but faith transcends. Har har Mahadev!"
Internet users reacted to the video with enthusiasm.
One internet user wrote in the comment section: "Irony is most Coldplay fans in metro cities don't even know the significance of Kumbh."
Another said: "Omg you are really blessed indeed."
An internet user said: "Coldplay used the concert as an excuse to visit Mahakumbh."
Coldplay concerts in India
Martin was in India to perform in five mega Coldplay concerts over the past several days.
Two of the concerts were held in Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, the same venue which hosted the ICC World Cup final in 2023.
The concerts were part of Coldplay's Music of the Sphere World Tour.
