Mimi Chakraborty unveils music video Porleh Mone Jei on Valentine's Day
Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali film actress Mimi Chakraborty on Friday unveiled the music video Porleh Mone Jei coinciding with Valentine's Day.
Mimi dropped the romantic music video on her YouTube channel Mimi Chakraborty Creations.
The 3:32-minute video features Mimi who seems to be remembering someone reminiscing about her past but also disinterested in reliving the moments.
In her last music video Bhallagchena, Mimi talked about emancipation and the song was viewed as her way of responding to the trolls and social media judgements.
Mimi, who has been in the Kolkata film circuit for over 15 years, made her singing debut with a single in her 2019 film Mon Jaane Na, where she starred alongside Yash Daasguptaa.
She had sung the reprise version of Keno Je Toke song from the film, which was directed by Shagufta Rafique.
Mimi then went on to produce her own music videos, beginning with Anjana in 2019. Some of her other music videos are Pal, Pari Hun Main et al.
On her acting front, Mimi was last seen in Bangladeshi film Toofan, which was a massive hit in Dhaka.
The actress, who recently turned 36, is waiting for the release of her web series Dainee. Directed by Nirjhar Mitra, Dainee will stream on Hoichoi from March 14.
She will also feature in Nandita Roy-Shiboprosad Mukherjee's Raktabeej 2. The film is a sequel to the 2023 film Raktabeej where Mimi played a cop for the first time in her career.
