Mirzapur actor Shahnawaz Pradhan dies due to heart attack
Mumbai: Popular TV and film actor Shahnawaz Pradhan passed away here due to heart attack.
Actor Yashpal Sharma said in a social media post that Pradhan complained of severe chest pain and suffered a heart attack, following which he was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, but the doctors couldn’t save him.
This happened during an award function in Mumbai, on Friday evening.
Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) condoled the demise of Pradhan. They wrote, “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Shahnawaz Pradhan. (Member since 2007)”.
The last rites were performed on Saturday, at 1230 hours at Khoja Shia Ishna Ashari Jamaat Arambaug, Mazgaon, Mumbai.
Actor Rajesh Tailang paid condolence to his ‘Mirzapur’ co-star and said, “Shahnawaz bhai aakhiri salaam !!!
Kya gazab ke zaheen insaan aur kitne behatar adaakar the aap. Mirzapur ke dauran kitna sundar waqt guzara aapke saath, Yaqeen nahin ho raha #purushram #mirzapur”.
Shahnawaz is best known for his portrayal of Sindbad the Sailor in the popular fantasy television series, ‘Alif Laila’ (1993–97), ‘Nand Baba’ In Ramanand Sagar Epic TV serial ‘Shree Krishna’ and playing Hafiz Saeed in ‘Phantom’.
He was last seen in web series ‘Hostages’.
