Nakul Roshan, Kanikka Kapur promote Murderbaad in Kolkata
Kolkata/IBNS: Actors Nakul Roshan, Kanikka Kapur and debutant director Arnab Chatterjee promoted their upcoming Hindi film Murderbaad in Kolkata last Saturday.

Director Arnab Chatterjee said, “This film can be referred to as a serious and dark sort. The theme of this film has not been used before, which I tried to commercialize to an extent. A song here has been sung by Amit Kumar where I wanted to give a tribute to the original Charulata song of Kishore Kumar.”
The story revolves around a Jaipur tour guide's amorous relationship with an NRI, which makes the film fall under a romantic genre. But as the story progresses a fellow tourist goes missing, creating a setback in the romance making it a thrilling milieu.
Actor Nakul Roshan Sahdev added, “When Arnab (director) first came up to me with his script, he narrated the entire story until the real part. He left me in an anomalous situation and after I started reading it myself, I completely flipped.”
As suspicion mounts, the tour guide vanishes-sparking a nationwide hunt that leads to one of modern India's most shocking crime twists. This film promises an all in one package of romance, drama and thriller which will keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
"This film is a completely different genre film. It is not at all like a commercial film. A film like this has not been seen very commonly in Tollywood, Bollywood or even Hollywood. It takes guts to write a script like this and film it. This will break the barriers of society”, said actor Barun Chanda.
This film features an ensemble cast including, Nakul Roshan Sahadev, Kanikka Kapur, Sharib Hashmi, Manish Prakash Chaudhari, Saloni Batra, Ravina Sharma, Amole Gupte, Aanjjan Srivastav, Masood Akhtar, Subrata Dutta, Barun Chanda, Vibha Chibber and Uday Tikekar.
It is set to make a theatrical release on July 18.
