Raghu Dakat: First song Joy Kali from Dev's upcoming film unveiled
Kolkata/IBNS: Joy Kali, the first song from Bengali film superstar Dev's upcoming release, Raghu Dakat, was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday.
In Joy Kali, Dev, in his transformative portrayal of Raghu, embodies the fiery son of Maa Kali.
With sindoor smeared in worship, he channels the goddess’s rage and strength, surrendering to the eternal force who stands by him at every turn.
The visuals are as striking as the emotion, with Sohini Sarkar and Roopa Ganguly in their dynamic personas adding depth and intensity to this powerful cinematic hymn.
Rathijit Bhattacharjee has been the music director who has also designed and programmed the track with ethereal brilliance, while Sugata Guha's made the lyrics.
The powerhouse vocals of Ishan Mitra, Shreya Bhattacharjee and Rathijit Bhattacharjee bring the composition alive, weaving a soundscape that resonates with raw energy and divine fervour.
The film is directed by Dhrubo Banerjee.
Also written by Dhrubo Banerjee, Raghu Dakat narrates the mythical tale of a savior who emerged during the 18th century, a period of great turmoil and unrest.
Presented by SVF Entertainment and Dev Entertainment Ventures, Raghu Dakat releases in theatres this Durga Puja 2025.
