RRR's Naatu Naatu bags Best Original Song nomination at 95th Oscars
New Delhi/IBNS: The nominations for the 95th Academy Awards have been announced and, this time it is no surprise that SS Rajamouli's RRR has been nominated in the Best Original Song category for Naatu Naatu at the Oscars.
The song's composer MM Keeravaani has already won the Golden Globe Award in the same category.
Naatu Naatu will compete against four other nominated songs - Applause from Tell It Like A Woman, Lady Gaga's Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Rihanna's Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and This Is A Life from Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Sharing the news, the RRR team wrote: "We created history".
"Proud and privileged to share that #NaatuNaatu has been nominated for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards," the post read.

Besides RRR, two Indian-made documentaries are also going to the Oscars with All That Breathes getting a nomination for Best Documentary Feature Film and The Elephant Whisperers for Best Documentary Short.
India's official Oscar entry, Chhello Show or Last Picture Show, was, however, left out of the final slate in the Best International Feature Film category.
RRR and the documentaries join a select group of Indian films to have gone to the Oscars including Mother India, Salaam Bombay and Lagaan which were nominated for Best International Feature Film.
Earlier, Bhanu Athaiya had won Best Costume Design for Gandhi, as well as, AR Rahman, Gulzar and sound engineer Resul Pookutty won Oscars for their work in Slumdog Millionaire, a British-made film set in India.
