‘Saiyaara’ star Aneet Padda to play Madhubala? YRF finally breaks silence on biopic buzz
Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Aneet Padda, who rose to prominence with the 2025 blockbuster Saiyaara, was widely speculated to portray film icon Madhubala in an upcoming biopic.
However, Yash Raj Films (YRF), which manages Padda, has dismissed the speculation, according to a report by NDTV.
Prior to Padda, actress Kiara Advani was also rumoured to be playing Madhubala in the biopic, though no official confirmation has been made so far.
One of the most iconic stars of Hindi cinema, Madhubala—often called the “Venus of Indian Cinema”—rose to fame with Mahal and delivered one of her most celebrated performances as Anarkali in Mughal-e-Azam.
She passed away at the age of 36 due to a congenital heart condition, leaving behind a timeless legacy in Bollywood.
Meanwhile, Padda, whose on-screen chemistry with Ahaan Panday in Saiyaara grabbed attention, will next star opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in the horror-comedy Shakti Shalini.
